If you are interested in getting involved in local or state governments, you're invited to attend the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce's Candidate 101 seminar! This event is a basics course on running for local and state government offices; open to anyone who may be considering running for office (City, Town, County, School Board, State). Speakers will give insight into what is needed to run a successful campaign, offer advice on preparing to run for office, share knowledge on what to expect while running for office and as an elected official, and will host a Q&A session for attendees.
