DESCRIPTION:The Rockford Preservation Society\n\nCONTACT: HANNAH HOLYFIELD PHONE: (336) 374-3825\n\n'Remember Rockford Families Reunion'\n\n\n\nReturns This September\n\nRockford\, N.C.   The 2nd Annual Remember Rockford Families Reunion is planned for Saturday\, September 10\, 2011 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Rockford Park. The day's activities will include traditional music\, re-enactors\, a BBQ lunch and sharing of family and local history. Rockford heritage will be the theme throughout this year's one day event. Registration fee for the day is $10.00 which includes lunch.\n\nLast year's reunion was attended by over 100 Rockford descendants. The Surry County Genealogical Association will be on hand to assist attendees with Rockford and Surry County genealogy.\n\nThis year there will be a table at the reunion where descendants can exchange and submit treasured family recipes for compiling into a Rockford Family Recipes book which the Rockford Preservation Society will publish next year.\n\nFamily captains are needed to serve as contacts for family lines.
